Anyone have a recumbent bike or trike that is just collecting dust? With my lower back issues I probably need to avoid any that sit close to the ground...
I've seen several Sun, Rans, and Terra-trike models of recumbents & trikes that look promising.... although I understand that there are some custom made recumbents as well as other brands that are no longer in business that would likely serve me well.
Once upon a time, I would ride my bicycle for 20-30 mile rides... don't know that my back will put up with that on a regular basis, nevertheless, I would like a recumbent that is capable of a comfortable long ride...
Of course it ought to be ready to ride so I can tell if it will work for me. I am willing to pay up to $500 for the right recumbent... so I am not looking for a rolling wreck, but a decent ride.

I am selling my Catrike Pocket tadpole 3 wheel recumbent as I have not been on it for over 3 years. I bought it new in September of 2006 and don't think it has over 300 miles on it.
It is Black and is in great condition, has 27 speeds, is light weight(about 29 lbs) and is fast. The boom is adjustable, I am 5' 10" and weigh 190, the specs say max weight about 250 lbs.

Bought a brand new Cannondale CAAD8 105 and quickly learned that the frame size is a couple sizes to big for me, looking for someone who has the reverse situation on their hands. The frame has only a couple hundred miles put on it so far.
