Heartland Century

Quad Cities Bicycle Club Heartland Century
Saturday, September 11, 2010

Registration is now open for the 2010 Heartland Century, an excellent ride through the rolling byways of Rock Island and Whiteside Counties. After TOMRV, GITAP, and RAGBRAI, and any other mnemonic or acronymic rides you can think of, the Heartland is a breath of fresh air. You will find open roads and gentle weather (or so we try to provide).

The Heartland is a supported ride. There will be a continental breakfast provided at the start at Illiniwek Park in Hampton, IL. There are two rest stops on the 50- and 62-mile rides, one in Erie and one in Cordova. There is also a lunch stop near Morrison, IL, for those hardy souls who take on the full century.

To enter, please download both the registration form and the accident waiver. Fill out both and send them to this address:

If you have questions, please email Scott Swanson at sbswanson@cygnusrex.org.

We look forward to seeing you at the next edition of this fall classic.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

The Heartland needs good people to lend a hand. Volunteers are needed at the Hampton home base, the Erie sag stop, the Cordova sag stop, and the lunch stop near Morrison. For more information, please email Scott Swanson at sbswanson@cygnusrex.org.
