This is a weekly ride every Wednesday from March 13th through November 6th. The ride consists of a route between 40-50 miles, averaging above 20 mph , Riding in a pace line throughout, several sprint and climb segments pre-determined and recognizing the top 3 finishers every week. The group will stop for mechanicals/ tire punctures for a reasonable amount of time to repair. This is a drop ride.
Garfield Park - CHANGE FROM LINDSAY PARK 070124
Ride the Davenport & Bettendorf trails for a loop ride. County roads may also be part of the 25-28-mile route. 13-14mph pace. Optional lunch stop towards end of ride. NOTE: As of 07-01-24, 9pm, the Mississippi River is in flood stage and expected to crest on Sunday, July 7th at 20.0 ft. This ride may need to be canceled or start location changed. Please check back, late on July 4th or early July 5th
43 mile route starting at Empire park. Mostly flat with some rollers.
West Lake Park- Gate 2 Railroad Lake
parking lot by recycling drop-off center.
D level ride from West Lake Park to Blue Grass for breakfast at the American Legion Hall. Road ride is 28 mile loop led by Robyn Robbins. Gravel route will be 36 mile route to Wildcat Den and include breakfast stop.
Ride from Emeis Park to Donohue and back. Ride will be on country roads with some rolling hills. Approximately 25 miles. Optional stop at the Vietanmese Baptist Church for egg rolls after the ride. Front and rear lights recommended. Park in lot near Locust Street, not at golf course.

BEACON HARBOR PARKING LOT BY DEERE HARVESTER PLANT
A combination of trail and lightly traveled roads in IL. The length will be between 25 and 35 miles with shorter rides in the spring and longer rides with more daylight in the summer. The pace will be 14 to 15 MPH and will be faster in the summer than in the spring as we build up fitness. There will usually be at least one good hill to climb. We will regroup at corners and at the top of hills as needed to keep the group together. The starting location will be in the Ben Butterworth parking lot in Moline, River Dr and 55th St on the border with East Moline. If this lot is flooded, we will move to Beacon Harbor parking lot.
5th Ave and Hennepin Pkwy Street
Colona. ILL
The ride will start at 5th Ave and Hennepin Parkway Street in Colana, IL. There is a small parking lot in the park.
We will ride on the Hennepin Canal trail for a short time (the paved section). Then on the nice backroads of Illinois. I have a planned stop in Geneseo at the Sunrise Cafe for breakfast. The total ride would be 46 miles.

Loud Thunder Forrest Preserve, East parking lot.
QCBC A/B group ride 45-60 miles. Further ride details will be added the Wednesday before the scheduled group ride.
Road + Gravel = Groad. This event is unlike any of the others. The course is made up of tarmac and chip seal, with gravel and dirt sectors. If Mother Nature cooperates, there will be a motocross track and a short section of beginner friendly single track trails. The gravel is fast and features a variety of different flavors of champagne gravel. Tire selection will be key for this one.

NOTE: as of 07/16/2024 8am, flood waters along the Mississippi River are still affecting the riverfront trail and streets close to the river. The River level is currently at 18.7 ft and is expected to recede to 16.3 ft by July 22nd. This is still flood stage, so meeting at Lindsay Park Yacht Club is still an issue. The City of Davenport does not expect the trail west of Heritage Park to Credit Island to be reopened and cleaned up until the end of July.

Join Bill and Kathy on a 42-mile ride between Cordova, Erie and Albany. Long stretches of roads with light traffic. flat stretches at beginning and end of ride, rolling hills in the middle. (May 2024 - roads were in great shape overall.) Regrouping at turns and 2 rest stops with services. Flashing lights for front and rear recommended. Park is located along Rte 84 within Civic Hall Complex. Bring insect and gnat repellant.
